Integral coif with ventail
This involves fixing the coif to the neckline of a shirt, and the fabrication of a ventail with leather liner.
The ventail can be of the commonly seen triangular 'Crusader' style with a chin pouch, or the 'Norman' rectangular style ventail.
A shirt and coif will need to be supplied for this work. £165.00 + P&P
Fully Riveted mittens
Maille mittens with sheepskin and leather mittens underneath, hand sewn with waxed linen or hemp thread, every 4th link has the thread knotted to stop the maille falling off if the thread wears through.
A template of both hands will need to be sent.

Alternating row' riveted link mittens
Maille mittens consisting of alternate rows of riveted and solid links, as seen below.
With sheepskin and leather mittens underneath. Mittens are Hand sewn with waxed linen thread, every 4th link has the thread knotted to stop it all falling off if the thread wears through.

Expansions
As not every shirt will fit every person as well as they would like,
the Maille Tailor offers a service of modifying thegarmentto fit the
customer. Measurements will need to be taken in person to ensure
the best result.
£25 per sqare foot.
(12” by 12” patch, or comparable volume).
Custom work
Commission for a customer who wanted a more tailored fit
and brass edging. Altered to wear under fourteenth
century armour.
